We need a deep dive into stories from different faces, backgrounds, and spaces. We need to ditch tunnel vision, and broaden our scopes intensely. This way, we are stepping into the the right direction of inclusivity and shifting perspectives.
It’s understandable that it isn’t logical to completely overturn every unit we learn and cultivate a whole new curriculum of world history, (although that would be very cool). But certain articles, videos, interviews, analyses, short books, etc. can definitely be incorporated in subtle and/or straightforward ways inside our classrooms. We need so much more new aspects of history to be taught to students, not just from America’s perspective, or white perspectives.
